Artistic Abilities Emerge

It’s truly amazing that a simple piece of wood can become a beautiful work of art in a relatively short time. Here are several examples from Day 3 of the wood carving and burning workshops, still incomplete as works-in-progress, but definitely showing talent.

These Santa ornaments are finished now. All were created by beginner carvers.

And here are some more of the experienced/pros works.

In addition to the workshops, part of this week’s activities include gatherings with friends. We hosted a hamburger cookout yesterday with Susie & Denny Orr, and Jan & Bill Mains contributing to the yummy food.

Jan brought over some Margarita popsicles to start with. Denny seemed to like them.

Bill loaded his plate with goodies, but never seems to gain weight.

Don had fun as Chef.

Susie brought a wonderful salad.

Everything tasted great and none of us went away hungry.

After dinner we just relaxed and chatted while watching the sun set.

  1. Great photos as always. Another wonderful event with you and Don. I never tire of Denny's jokes and the way Susie encourages his humor.
